Horn International Relief and Development (HIRDO) is one of the humanitarian organizations working in
Somalia for the last fifteen years to assist and support the most vulnerable communities in Somalia especially children under five,
women, older and persons with disabilities. The major drivers of vulnerability include climate change, conflicts, poverty and political
instability hence leading to humanitarian crisis which itself creates high rate of malnutrition, displacements, unemployment and instability.
Meanwhile, HIRDO as an operational organization is legally registered organization with the Ministry of Interior and federalism of the federal
government, and federal member states including Hirshabelle and Galmudug state as well as Benadir regional administration.
The organization’s headquarter is in Mogadishu where the main office is based while handling the overall management and operational functions including planning, organizing, directing and controlling program implementation.
